Concrete Cleaning & Sealing FAQ

Q Will the sealer change the appearance of my concrete?
Since it is a penetrating, reactive sealer, there will be no visible change to the appearance of the concrete. Most sealers that leave a shine or residue will wear off fairly quickly, requiring regular applications.
Q How long will your sealer last?
With a two coat application, it is a permanent, lifetime sealer. You will NEVER have to reapply any sealer. With our national buying power, we save you money on the initial application, and in the future we save you from having to pay for concrete sealer, EVER.
Q My driveway is flaking and starting to get pop-marks, will the sealer help?
While we always say that our sealers will NOT make good concrete out of bad concrete, our experience has shown that it can dramatically slow down the process. The effects of bad concrete, poor installation, salt damage and freeze-thaw cycling can ruin concrete. While you cannot change the past, our sealer can slow down and in some cases stop certain problems.
Q Salting my driveway caused my problems, can I continue to salt after the application?
With a two-coat application, you can render your concrete acid-proof. A simple acid test can prove this. Salting after application is OK!
Q Can your process remove oil and rust spots?
Rust and oil removal is determined on a case by case basis. Variables such as the age of the concrete, type of oil or rust and climate can determine the success rate of the removal. With our special cleaners, in many cases we can greatly reduce the visibility of the spots. Also, with our sealers, they continually push oil spots to the surface, allowing for rain and snow to wash them away.
Q As preventative maintenance, what does the sealer do for my concrete?
If your concrete has been through at least one winter of freeze-thaw cycles and is trouble-free, you probably have structurally sound concrete. Our sealers are like adding LIQUID CONCRETE to your existing concrete. Once it penetrates below the surface, it reacts and forms a permanent, lifetime bond. This leaves your concrete stronger and denser than the day it was poured, blocking penetration of oil, salt and moisture.
