Our History

Andrea and John met while attending the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Andrea played college volleyball and earned a degree in psychology. John played basketball and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marketing.

Their backgrounds still shape the company today. Andrea’s understanding of people helps her manage scheduling, customer questions, daily operations, and team culture. John’s marketing experience and longtime interest in business guide sales and company growth.

Andrea grew up in Fond du Lac, and John has lived in Oshkosh his entire life. They chose to build their family business here because they care about the Fox Valley and the people who call it home.

Window Genie of Appleton and Oshkosh opened in August 2020 with one van and two service professionals. The business has since grown to four vans and a team of up to 10 service professionals during the busy season.

When not working, Andrea and John are often at practices or tournaments with their two sons. John also serves as the varsity boys basketball coach at Winneconne High School, and the family supports youth sports through YMCA teams and other local organizations.
