Our 3-Step Concrete Sealing Process

1) Preparing the area: To start from a clean, smooth surface, we’ll pressure wash your concrete.

2) Applying concrete sealant: After the concrete has dried, we’ll apply the sealer to the surface. Once the surface is fully covered, we let it dry.

3) Love your concrete’s look: Your concrete is fully protected and prepared for usage!

The Window Genie Difference: Our Chem-Tec One Concrete Sealant

Paver-Sealing-DrivewayChem-Tec One, which is actually a “preservative and densifier”, is like adding liquid concrete to your existing driveway or sidewalk. Once added to the concrete, the “sealer”, which is the same consistency as water, penetrates deeply into the substrate. There it
begins a chemical reaction with the calcium and lime that exists in the concrete. As it reacts, it forms a gel that over time will harden and permanently fill the pores of the concrete. In addition, as it hardens, it pushes out contaminants such as oil and salt that lie within the concrete. This process takes about 30 days and the old salt and oil are then washed away with rain or snow.

Compared to the less expensive sealers on store shelves which are silicone-based and are nothing but surface sealers that wear off quickly, Chem-Tec One, as a concrete sealer, is a permanent product. Once applied, especially with our 2-coat application, it should not have to be reapplied for 5-20 years depending on the structure type and use. So not only is it significantly more effective, but it is more cost-effective in the long run.

Paver Sealing

Sealing a paver has numerous benefits. Pavers are, by nature, very little maintenance, but they can occasionally become tarnished by several factors:

  • Erosion
  • Weeds
  • Ants and other pests
  • Fading
  • Mold or Moss
  • Weather stains

Sealing your paver can prevent these forces from destroying your investment. Window Genie uses state of the art compounds to seal your paver. You can choose from three different Seal N Lock products.

Natural Luster Concrete Sealant

Natural Luster is environmentally safe and gives a luscious natural look to your paver.

Super Wet Concrete Sealant

Super Wet gives your paver that beautiful shiny “wet look”. Super Wet is environmentally safe.

EffloRemover Concrete Sealant

EffloRemover is an organic acid that is used to remove efflorescence (a white residue sometimes apparent on pavers) and rust from the surface of pavers. Just like all Seal n Lock products, EffloRemover is environmentally safe.

Window Genie offers a variety of options for sealing pavers, decks, and concrete. Don’t mess with hazardous chemicals and expensive tools. Give us a call today to schedule a free estimate and put the Genie to work for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long should concrete cure before sealing

If your concrete is new, we recommend letting it cure completely before sealing. In most cases, it takes 6 to 12 months for fresh concrete to cure before applying concrete sealant.

How long does it take concrete sealant to dry?

Most concrete sealant is dry to the touch within 1-3 hours, but don’t walk on it yet! We recommend staying off the freshly sealed concrete for at least 24 hours, and some topical sealants can take longer.
