Window Genie has done it again! For the second year in a row we have made Inc. magazine’s 5000 list. Inc. magazine ranked Window Genie no. 3721 on its 34th annual list. The 5000 is a list of the nation’s fastest growing private companies. According to Inc. this is how they determine the list: “The 2015 Inc. 5000 is ranked according to percentage revenue growth when comparing 2011 to 2014. To qualify, companies must have been founded and generating revenue by March 31, 2011. They had to be U.S.-based, privately held, for profit, and independent–not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies–as of December 31, 2014. (Since then, a number of companies on the list have gone public or been acquired.) The minimum revenue required for 2011 is $100,000; the minimum for 2014 is $2 million. As always, Inc. reserves the right to decline applicants for subjective reasons.”
Window Genie unit sales were up 40% in the past year. Inc. rankings are determined off the past 3 years, where we grew 83% as a system. But the story of Window Genies’s success goes beyond the numbers. Inc. President and Editor-In-Chief Eric Schurenberg says “The story of this year’s Inc. 5000 is the story of great leadership. In an incredibly competitive business landscape, it takes something extraordinary to take your company to the top. You have to remember that the average company on the Inc. 5000 grew nearly sixfold since 2012. Business owners don’t achieve that kind of success by accident.” We all know the kind of leadership Window Genie has, so it’s no surprise that we made this list once again.
Looking to the future, we hope to experience continued growth through our new partnership with 3M, offering their Envision line of film. This new partnership is one example of how we’re helping existing franchise partners grow their business. We’re also exploring opportunities in holiday lighting, as a new service. Offering holiday lighting ensures that our franchise partners experience less of an “off season” or “slow season”. We’re excited to have an additional stream of revenue that engages the customer year-round while providing the same level of quality service our customers are used to. Our holiday lighting program includes complete custom design, installation, maintenance, take-down and storage.
